We offer a wide range of dental services for both children and adults. The few services we do not offer are provided by competent specialists in our area, on our referral.

Preventive

By far, our most important service is to prevent dental disease. We provide all levels of cleanings and examinations for each unique dental presentation. Preventative services include early diagnosis, cleanings, cancer screenings, x-rays, fluoride treatments, sealants, space maintainers, and custom athletic mouth guards, among others.

Restorative

We can repair damaged teeth with traditional silver or tooth colored fillings, or cast restorations including crowns (caps). We have the capability to provide completely metal-free restorations upon request.

Root Canals

Also known as endodontic treatment, root canal treatment can be comfortably provided to save severly damaged teeth. Our training allows us to complete this service, in most instances, in our office.

Oral Surgery

Removal of erupted teeth and simple impactions can be accomplished in our office. We also provide limited soft tissue surgery of the gingiva (gums) and biopsies. All of our partners have been trained in trauma surgery for the treatment of accidents and sports related injuries.

Sedation

Our doctors are committed to providing their patients with a gentle, pain-free, dental experience. We understand the fear and anxiety can sometimes inhibit them from seeking dental care. As part of our commitment to treat these patients, we offer several options to help in the reduction of fear and anxiety.

Tooth Replacement

Teeth can be replaced with removable dentures, fixed (non-removable) bridges and implants.

  • Complete and Partial Dentures are removable appliances that replace all or some of the missing teeth. These appliances are custom made for each patient that restore function and asthetics economically.
  • Fixed Bridges are not removed by the patient and look and function much like natural teeth. These durable appliances are currently the most popular tooth replacement option.

Implants

Implants represent the future of tooth replacement technology. This service has become "mainstream" over the last 15 years and is the closest thing to retaining the original tooth. There is some evidence that this solution may also be the most durable.

Cosmetic (Esthetic) Dentistry

These exciting services have received a great deal of media attention concerning "smile makeovers." Patients of all ages are able to improve their appearance and reduce the effects of staining, wear, and aging. Some cosmetic options include:

  • Bleaching: Our systems are much more powerful than over-the-counter products.
  • Enamoplasty: Conservative reshaping of teeth to create a more pleasing smile.
  • Bonding: Reshaping and the addition of tooth colored materials to restore or improve the appearance of the front teeth.

  • Veneers: These are sheets of custom made porcelain that are bonded to front teeth to create a very natural appearance.

  • Ceramic Crowns: Similar to veneers but completely surround the tooth and also have a very natural appearance.

  • Gingivoplasty: Subtle recontouring of soft tissues to modify an irregular or "gummy" smile.

Temporomandibular Joint
Management (TMJ)

Pain and dysfunction in the head and neck muscles and jaw joint are a very common problem. Successful management of this complex problem can often be accomplished without drugs or surgical intervention.

Treatment of Sensitive Teeth

There are many noninvasive treatments available for the care of generalized sensitive teeth.

Athletic Protective Care

We make most of the custom athletic mouth guards for the men's and women's teams at BGSU and BGHS and offer this service to our patients who place themselves in harm's way.

Referred Services

We realize that it is sometimes better for a specialist to provide for our patient's specific needs. We have developed a network of experienced specialists to work with us to provide for their care.
